Is a faith-based initiative registered. We are working with Christians and believers from all the churches with the aim of realizing development and sustainable practices.

We embrace problem identification, problem solving, capacity building and informed decision making as a tool for community empowerment. This enables the targeted believers to think critically and find solutions to their own problems.

TEMBELEA KANISA INITIATIVE is currently working with thousands of believers across western Kenya. In few years of sustainable practices, we’ve proven that agroforestry is a solution to reach of these challenges, effectively ending hunger and poverty while restoring the land and environment

Why Trees

Trees transform lives and landscapes. Unsustainable land use is at the root of our most pressing challenges. Trees have the power to support communities, improve lives and restore the planet.

How we do It

◻      Training for lasting impact. We train Christian farmers in our signature methodology, the TEMBELEA KANISA INITIATIVE approach emphasizing agroforestry and thoughtful land management, we give churches and Christians the resources and knowledge they need to succeed.

Why Church?

Churches promote engagement with issues and important life questions through study and fellowship groups. Motivational dimensions potentially increase the effectiveness of environmental awareness because of the faith-based commitment.
